SEPM CONSOLE password locked

This issue has been solved. See solution.

My SEPM CONSOLE Password is locked.My Temporary Paswword link also not working.Please guide me to get a new password for console login

What sep version are you using ?

Just wait 30 min automatic account unlocked

 My SEP version is 12.1.2015.2015.Did you mean after it is locked,after 30 mins it will become automatically unlocked?

hi,

Yes but if you have Continuous enter worng passoword it's again locked.

In SEPM 12.1 you can reset password  click the "Forgot your password"

Just one of confirm...

are you login admin account or AD intergated account ?

Hi.

Please do the below..Even agreed with above rafeeq comments.

To reset the administrator password

Go to on.

  1. Locate the Drive:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools folder.
  2. Double-click resetpass.bat.

    The user name and password are reset to admin.

  3. Log on to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager using admin for both the user name and the password, and change the password.

Hello,

resetpass.bat tool option not available SEPM 12.1,

SEPM 12.1 you can reset password  click the "Forgot your password"

Resetpass.bat is not in Tools folder

Copy resetpass.bat from any previous version of SEPM it will work in SEP 12.1

As per tech http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO54992 article resetpass.bat can be used for password resetting.

Hi,

Temporary password link should work, make sure checking the correct mailbox for password reset link.

Refer this video to learn how to recover password.

Hi

Copy the resetpass.bat file from the SEP 11 tools folder and paste it in C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools and run the same.

After 15 minutes put the username as admin and password as admin.

Hello,

It will be auto unlock as per schedule time period which you have mentioned.

If you have forgot you password then click on "forgot your password", temprory password will be recieve on email which you have mention while creating the id.

Try this.

Hi

  I have tried resetpass.bat.After running & entering as admin,it is displaying admin account is locked.After sometime if logged,it is displaying 'Your username or Password is not correct".

Forgot password Link is not working.What to do?.Please guide.

Please run 2-3 time reset.batch and then login admin as user ad even password is admin only.

Or wait for 15 min and then try to login with admin.

Which password you are using after resetting password ?   user name and password will be admin

And how much time you leave your SEPM ideal? It should be 15 min.

  Docket was raised & attended by Symmantec Support Person remotely.             Resetpass.bat file in the SEPM -Tools folder was  run from Command prompt after which the Password got reset & I was able to enter with a new Password .
