Home, Monitors, and Reports tabs are blank in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

ok neither of them worked... i had already tried them..

it is using IIS7 is this correct?  is their anything esle i need to do on a windows x64 system to get the sepm working.

this also effects the remote console as well...  although when i use a remote console to connect to other servers it works ok so it is the server i have installed SEPm on..  i am using a sql serv thats is seperate to the SEPM box's.

Did you install the website using the default IIS or a custom website. The difference is using port 80 versus port 8014. I just went through that and one of the things was that it was installed on the default website which was causing some of the problems. You might also want to check the Internet Explorer options and make sure that Java Scripting is enabled.

Note. I had all the same issues above. Wiping server and installing Windows 2003 Standard resolved the issue.

You said it was a clean install.
Is it patched?  (probably doesn't matter)

As Greg Brunelle indicated, he had the same issues.

1 Major difference between 2008 and 2003 is UAC.

Can you please try turning off UAC (which can affect Java applets- hence white screens) by going to:
    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

    2. In Control Panel, click User Accounts.

    3. In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts.

    4. In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off.

    5. If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.

    6. Clear the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK.

    7. Click Restart Now to apply the change right away, or click Restart Later and close the User Accounts tasks window.

Test!  Does it work, display the proper information etc.?

Did you try to disable the enhanced internet security configuration?

Post the error while opening SEPM.
