This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello,

We just upgraded our server from SEP 11.0.3 to 11.0.5.  Everthing on the server is running fine.  When I went into my management console installed on my client it told me I needed to update.    I went to http://servername:9090 and it pulled the installation files.   Now when I launch the management console it opens, asks for my password, flashs the start screen for the console and then goes back to the login screen.  I've tried uninstall reinstall but this has not worked.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?  The management console running on my server is working fine.

Thank you!!!

 Might be java

 Might be java conflict
Uninstall Java Remote console un-install Java
copyjre-6u14-windows-i586.exe  from SEPM server from this location
Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\webapps\scm\clientpkg

Then again try installing the remote console.

Are you blocking port 8443?

Are you blocking port 8443? HTTPS communication runs on port 8443 between the remote management console and the SEPM manager. All login information and administrative communication takes place using this secure port.
