  • 1.  SEPM Consolidated Reporting

    Posted Dec 14, 2015 11:12 AM

We have many small sites, each with their own SEPM servers (all 12.1.n), all using the built-in database.  I'm trying to figure out the best way to provide a centralized report.  The data needed on the report is simplistic; Site Name, SEPM Client names, Definition Date of each client; nothing more than that.

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

And you plan to keep them separate, correct?

You could run the Computer Status report from each SEPM and export to csv and drop into Excel. Combine them and then pull out the three columns above that you want. They already exist in the Computer Status report anyway so it's just a matter of pulling and combining data.

    Brian,

Yep, separate. (no other choice based on the network model and environment they are supporting).

I was hoping for something a little more elegant; but, I could work with a .CSV file....  If I could autmate the delivery of the .CSV

Is there a way to configure SEPM to email a .CSV?  Or even better, a way to schedule SEPM to email a .CSV of the "Computer Status" report?

The SEPM cannot be configured to use any other method of sending the data.

The SEPM is hard-coded to use .MHT attachments.  At present, this format cannot be changed.

Those interested in additional extensions and formats may lend their support to this Connect Forum Idea (enhancement request): SEPM Scheduled Reports File Format

Some customers have reports successfully working around this limitation through the use of an app for their smartphone which enables Android and IOS to open .mht files.
