SEPM destroyed in server crash - will a reinstall (without rediscovering the clients) allow previously managed clients to receive updates?

I'm pretty dubious of this, but was told by somebody that this might work. I figure I'd have to make the console find all the previously managed clients, manually, and readd them back one at a time to the server console before they would get any updates.

?

Thanks people.

Yes. You can take the Domain

Yes.

You can take the Domain ID from an existing client and import it into the new SEPM and this will allow clients to communicate with the new manager. I know there is a KB doc for this, I just dont have it at my fingertips.

Alternatively you can use one of many Sylink replacement tools to drop a Sylink.xml from  the new SEPM on each client remotely.
