Hi there,

Does anyone know if the embedded database can be stored on a different drive from where the actual SEPM is installed?   So if I install SEPM on C with the OS, can the embedded data base be put on the E:\ drive?

They need to be on the same drive, you can only move both. The HOWTO is here:

How to back up, restore, and/or move the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) and embedded Database to another disk or system

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

--> With the help of SEPM there is no way to move database on another drive if SEPM is already installed on C drive.

Uninstall and reinstall on another drive can be a possible solution.

Thanks Chetan and Brian, much appreciated!!  I both put you in for a split solution, since you both answered around the same time and were correct so I wanted to give you both credit.

Is that the correct thing to do??

Take care and enjoy the weekend.
