  • 1.  SEPM Error Code: 19 (0xe0220000) when Syncing

    Posted Mar 03, 2015 03:16 PM

Hi - I am receiving an error when trying to sync certain OUs in SEPM 12.1.5337.5000.  This does not happen with all OUs in the domain.  The below log is what happens when we try syncing:

March 3, 2015 3:06:22 PM EST:  LDAP Authentication Failed [path=LDAP://XXXX, user=evaultadmin] (error code:19, 0x13)  [Site: XXXX]  [Server: XXXX]
March 3, 2015 3:06:22 PM EST:  LDAP Authentication Failed [path=LDAP://XXXX, user=evaultadmin].  [Site: XXXX]  [Server: XXXX]

    XXXX is the SEPM server.

We also receive the following messaging when trying to sync:

Failed to synchronize with the Directory Server AAAA.

Check the directory server settings in the management console, and try again. [0xe0220000]

    AAAA is our AD server.

The thing is, evaultadmin is not being used and it is not the account listed under the Directory Server settings.  Additionally, we are authenticating with Active Directory and not LDAP.  We cannot locate any settings that have evaultadmin as the user account.  How can we remove all traces of evaultadmin and force SEPM to use the current account under Directory Server settings?

Can you enable debugging, reproduce the issue and post the scm-server-0.log here?

What of the id you are use for the authentication of LDAP. May be the password has been changed. Reconfigured the password and check

Log attached.  If you search for evaultadmin that is when I tried to sync the specific OU that is giving this error (around 10:29:44).  I sync'd a working OU around 10:32:47.

The thing is we are not using evaultadmin with LDAP as the account.  This is an old account no longer in use.  The new account is completely difference and is using Active Directory, not LDAP.

I would like to add that I removed the account and re-added it to Directory Server settings with the same issue.  The password is correct.
