  • 1.  SEPM Error with Printer Service : Faulting application spoolsv.exe, version 5.1.2600.2696, faulting module sysfer.dll

    Hi My name is Thanakom

           My company Clients install with SEPM Client
    Sometimes ( 2 or 3 times / day )  Printing Service ( Spool service )
    auto disable and we can't use printer 


          we check and found it seem sysfer.dll ( some module in SEPM )
    show faulting with spoolsv.exe 
     
    Messages on event log show like this

    "Faulting application spoolsv.exe, version 5.1.2600.2696, faulting module sysfer.dll, version 11.0.4000.2261, fault address 0x00012130."



         -We test Disable Firewall Feature on SEPM  can't solve this error it still Appear

         -When we uninstall SEPM Program This error disappear and printing service come normally.

    I Also attach capture screen in event log.

    Hello Thanakom.
    first Can you update your client please. Install Sp3 and install last security and critical updates.
    spooler service can stop with wrong driver install. When this problem happend? did you install new printer?

    Hello Faith
              
              - We will deploy to lates patch by wsus and monitorig tomorrow
              - for spooler service error it occur 2 week ago.  we didn't install new printer we use original one. I just wandering why in eventlog show Faulting Module is Sysfer.dll  which concern to SEPM Software.

    Sysfer.dll  used by SEP's Firewall.
    are you using local printer or network printer?
     maybe your firewall rule block your printer sharing.
    did you anything with firewall policy in 2 weeks?

    Hello Fatih

           -  After we update latest windows path  problem still occur
           -  Firewall Policy Not change anything 2 week before , Check on Firewall LOG it's not show block anything



    Now we test change Version of CMC Engine By Reinstall New Package
    Change Version of Engine Common Client  106.3.7.9 to 106.4.0.6
    it seem problem disappear    after install New version of semp client
    This may  solve my problem, by the way we will  monitoring 2-3 days  to make sure.
