  • 1.  SEPM --> first SEP client installation on remote computers

    Hello,

I have a question about the first SEP client installation on remote computers (computers which are on remote sites).

The only SEPM of the compagny and clients are on Site A.

Severals clients are on other sites (connected to SEPM with slow lines).

I wanted to know if it's possible to install these clients directly from SEPM (with remote shares or http for example, without impacting bandwidth performance).

I couldn't find what I want with SEPM tools (I test with "Push Deployment Wizard", "Find unmanaged computers" and "Install packages" by groups). There is no option about remote installation. I saw that it's possible to upgrade from local http servers but not to install.

Is it only possible to do that with exported packages ?

    Thank you,

You can export the package for that specific group ,keep it in one of the shares in the remote site and use it for deployment in migration and deployment ......

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/how-deploy-sep-clients-branch-office

create the setup for the client install and copy that file to one computer  and then run vpremote.exe so that you can push package all the clients   You can get the  vpremote from the CD2 or from the DVD

     Tools/PushDeploymentWizard/VPREMOTE.exe
