Endpoint Protection

Can someone tell me if there is a SEPM guide that goes over each feature of the GUI and describes what each feature does? I have looked through multiple Symantec guides and searched the web without any luck. If someone could point me to the right direction it would be much appreciated.

I don't believe there is such a guide like this.

The best you may find is the admin guide

It's over 1,000 pages and filled with a plethora of detail

I was of afraid of that...OK. The more specific question that I have at this point is concerning the "Select the secruity features for this package" field underneath Admin, Export a Client Install Package. I am looking for a clearer understanding of what each of those actually include. Anyone have documentation for that? 

That specific piece relies on the "Client Install Feature Set" option. This defines what features you want installed on the client.

Once you go here, click Add Client Install Feature Set...

Give it a name and description and pick the features that you want the client to have. Clock OK to save

Now when you go back to the Export part, you can select the feature set you just created and it will be added to the clients.

If Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is installed then need to install now SEP clients on the network computers.

If you could provide the following info we would be in a better position to assist you further.

1) Symantec Endpoint Protection Manage (SEPM) version.

2) Total number of clients in the network. Currently is there any other AV running?

3) Planning to install SEP clients on total how many computers?

4) Are there any remote sites?

5) Planning to install on Servers, if yes what's the OS?
