Endpoint Protection

Hello everyone.

Back on SEPM work (as most of my troubles being soveld with the latest release).

I used to use that great tool : https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/downloads/sep-content-distribution-monitor

It was working like a charm on my v11.

Now i've upgraded to 12 so decided to use the 12.1 version of this tool.

Changed the httpd.conf part to enable log

the tool folder being placed under : C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\SEP_12GUP\

Launched the .bat file

and a dos window stays open with that :

I ve no idea of what did i miss, or if the tools works with 12.1 RU1 MP1 ...

Anyone has tested ?

Where are you launching the bat file from?

Does the window close quickly or stay open?

Launching the.bat from the server, and the command prompt windows stays open with the message above.

did you use the "SEP Content Distribution Monitor - SEP 12.1 - BETA v1.3.zip" ?

Yeah i used the beta 1.3

After few minutes of thinking, i had the idea to open the .bat file to see what it does ... and i noticed that :

%CD%\..\Tools\sepm_monitor.jar

I realized that he tries to open a file in the Tools folder !

So i moved the extrated zip files to :

C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools

And bing ! Worked !

So my initial idea of extracting zip files to

C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\SEP_12GUP\

wasn't good ...

It might be mentionned in the download page...
