SEPM Java console issue after upgrading to SEPM 12.1.5

  • 1.  SEPM Java console issue after upgrading to SEPM 12.1.5

    Hi,

    We are experincing an issue in SEPM Java console after upgraded from 12.1.4112 to 12.1.5.

    Java version : Java 7 update 25

    Please find the attached screenshot.

    Kindly advise, how to fix this.

    You can uninstall al the java version and reinstall it

    steps

    Install the Java update from Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

    In a browser on the computer where the remote console is installed, navigate to the web access page on the server where Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is installed. URL:

    http://<SEPM_IP_address>:9090

    Download the remote console from this page. The correct Java version will be installed.

    Thank you James, however they didn't mention where to change the "region and time" settings.

    Please assist on this.

    You can try to change SEPM server.

    We have checked the regional settings, time, language etc.. everything is fine.

    Also there is no policy in ADC in "javascript"

    We are able to access the SEPM in actual SEPM server.

    We are facing the issue only on Remote Java console (i.e our local machine).

    Please assist on this.

    Have you try different system ?

    Try to uninstall all java version and reinstall.

    It happened because it lost connectivity to the SEPM service. Close it an re-open

    @ James, we are yet to try the uninstall & reinstall the Java console. will check and update you.

     

    @ Brian, I didn't get you. Lost connectivity between actual SEPM with Remote Java console SEPM?

    we have closed & reopen the Remote Java console several times, nothing happened.

    Yes. This is connectivity issue. Maybe the network blipped or dropped for a split second.

    @ Brian, Seems that's not the issue. Its happening on all the local machines.

    Then update your java to at least version 7 update 55 and try again. If that doesn't work, log a support case.

    1. Try the java console on other client machine..

    2. Remove Java, reboot.. Then go to http://<SEPM_IP_address>:9090 download java from there...

    That will fix your problem.

    @ Brian, we are yet to uninstall & reinstall the Java with latest version.

     

    @Lumia, we have same issue with other workstations as well.

    Hmm.. Why dont you call up support? This looks quite strange. 

    Btw, Have you tried the remote java console on the sepm server itself? Did that work?!

    Hi All,

    Have uninstalled and reinstalled the Java the latest version 8 update 25, still we have the same issue.

    This time, I'm not able to login to the console itself.

    REFER the screen shot attached.

    May want to enable FINEST debugging and either post the log here for review or open a supoprt case so they can look at it.
