Make sure you have -

Hands-on Experience (Real World or Virtual):

  • Deploy software packages to systems or virtual layers
  • Configure the Software Catalog
  • Install the Altiris Client Management Suite 7.1 components
  • Use tasks and policies to deploy applications, endpoint operating systems, and personalities
  • Configure the Software Portal to deliver applications
  • Download, stage, and deploy software updates
  • Inventory managed computers
  • Support, manage, and configure managed computers remotely
  • View and use reports to assist with managing computers
  • Manage and configure CMS 7.1 including plug-ins and policies
  • Use Maintenance windows to schedule tasks and policies
  • Perform basic troubleshooting
  • Image Macintosh/Linux computers with Deployment Solution
  • Gather custom inventory
  • Create custom reports
  • Create personality templates
  • Create SVS layers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems
  • Use advanced deployment technologies
  • Use Out-of-Band Management

Familiarity with the following:

  • Microsoft Windows Server administration and maintenance
  • Microsoft Windows Desktop administration
  • Microsoft network administration and maintenance
  • Microsoft SQL database administration and maintenance

Are you asking for information about what kind of questions we ask on our prescreen interview tests for SEP?

Whats goin on here. Are we here to help people solving their Technical Issues or passing in Interviews? Please do not Do all this. Everyone have his/her own caliber, let them test their Own Skill. Haven't Watched 3 Idiots.

Which is exactly why links were provided, to help him test and assess his level of skill. A good interviewer will weed out the good from the bad. We can only provide the links to the learning materials, not take the interview for him.

I agree to Brain. There is no harm in sharing knowledge.

I have seen people asking question which is no were realted to SEP or Symantec but we still answer them (only if we can).

I myself have conducted interview for hrining engineers for SEP .We used to concentrate on only 2 things
1. basic networking
2. Operating System

Also mainly we used to ask question from the applicants CV based on his work experince.

I never remember asking any questions related to SEP to the candiate as I knew they don't know that.
