This issue has been solved. See solution.

We purchased SEPM 11 on June 2008 and the invoice states it to be for 12 months. Our SEPM still receives updates and secures it's clients, now that we are in 2010.

I want to know if the only the licensing of SEPM that I need to renew is only so that I can apply to software updates of SEPM and SEP (I am currently using the 11.5 v), or it includes also the LiveUpdate's antivirus definitions and all the other definitions it downloads?

Just you need to renew your

Just you need to renew your license. Its not related to software updates or definition. Licensing is just paperwork needed for Audit purpose. However with License you get serial number from which you can download latest version of SEP.
SEP or SEPM does not require any licensing.

Although

You do need to have a current license for software updaets and support, it is not checked for definitions update, This is to facilitate customers, especially in larger networks and we trust our customers to duly renew their licenses.

Symantec Endpoint Protection

Symantec Endpoint Protection does not require a License file.  The licsense is only  the support that you reiceve from Techincal support and also for downloading the new product release.
