SEPM liveupdate failed

The SEPM can report the lastest version of virus definition but it won't update the manager virus definition automatically nor manually.surprise

Can we have a screen shot of the Home tab anf if possible the Definition log

SO your SEPM was last updated on 23rd Nov 2011. Follow the Below mentioned Steps and let me know if any error occurs

1. Goto Control Panel--> Symantec Liveupdate Settings.

2. Uncheck Automatically Exit when Liveupdate Completes.

3. Change the error support to Enhanced.

4. Goto Start -->Run-->Type Luall and Hit Enter

Let see wether u get any error.

You may also want to change the mode from Express Mode  to Interactive Mode.

The process freezes a long time after TruScan ... Win 64 Installed. BTW I don't want to perform luall manually. devil's picture


 Uninstall the symantec liveupdate from the Add or Remove Programs...

Download the Symantec liveupdate from FTP.SYMANTEC.COM 


Click on Public 

Click on English_us_canada

Click on Liveupdate 

Click on 3.3.0

Click on LUSETUP.EXE and it will download ...

Reinstall the liveupdate and 

Go to run -> CMD - > C:\program files\symantec\syamtec endpoint manager\bin

then type lucatalog -cleanup 

lucatalog -update

and run the Luall.exe in Run.

check the products downloaded ...

after some time run the liveupdate from the SEPM console...

Please check the content filtering in firewall...
