  • 1.  SEPM Login error

    Hi Guys,

    I just upgraded sepm 12.1.4 to 12.1.5

    Here is the issue i'm facing:

    1.It is showing the error Failed to connect to the server.

    with error code 0x80020000

    2. Home, monitor and report tab not opening.

    I have reinstall the latest version of java.

    Please help for resolving the issue

    Is this through local or remote console?

    Can you enable FINEST logging and reproduce the issue and post the scm-server-0.log here:

    Please follow this document, if it fails plese post the scm-server0.log

    - Stop "Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service"

    - Navigate to control Panel

    - Open Java console options

    - Click on Java Tab

    - Open "View" option ( JAVA Runtime Environment Settings -> JAVA Runtime Versions)

    - Disable / uncheck Support for JAVA Platform 1.6

    - Click on "OK"

    - Restart  "Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service"

    Problem should be with your SQL. SEPM is not able to read the SQL db using the authentication

    Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager log processing is slow with error 1314 in the agentlogcollector logs.

    try this one

    1. Run the upgrade wizard located: 'C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin\upgrade.bat'

    It ended up with an error with i tried the upgrade.bat

    From the log it says "

     

    "Fail to set permission(s) for Object = HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\semsrv"

    Thank you very much Rafeeq, i tried this and it worked fine

     

    Grant the "Replace a process level token" privilege to the account used to run the SEPM service in the local security policy on the SEPM.

    - Open the Local Security Policy MMC (secpol.msc)
    - Expand "Local Policies - Users Right Assignment.
    - Add the service account to the "Replace a process level token" privilege.

    The change may require a restart to take effect.
