  • 1.  SEPM not communicating with clients after restore DB

    Hello,

    I had a Symantec Endpoint Manager running on a Windows 2003 with 12.1.2015 and upgrade it to 12.1.4 without any problem after that i take DB backup. preparing athor server with windows 2008 have the same name and same IP we fresh installation of SEPM and restore the DB, but the sepm not communicate with clients just only 10 clients can communicate from 320, any suggestions?

    You followed correct procedure on moving the SEPMs? What happens if you force one to check in? Whats the client heartbeat set to? How long has it been?

    What the client communication setting?

    restart the symantec database service.

    Yes i followed the correct steps to moving SEPM, nothing happens when i force client, the heartbeat interval set: 10 mins.

    the heartbeat seting: 10 mins, i'm also tried the symantec database service but still not working

    Have you try replace sylink.xml ? have you restored correct Server Private Key ?

    You can replace the sylink file for those client to communicate with server.

    Why do I need to replace the client-server communications file on the client computer?
