SEPM not displaying correctly
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 14 comments
Just installed SEP 11.0.5 onto Windows Server 2008 Std x64 w/ SP2. All went well with the install and all the recommended IIS components were installed.
When you go to open the SEPM console where you usually see th status in the home screen nothing is displayed other than text. Same goes for montiors section. You can cofigured policies, groups etc just fine. Just nothing displaying.
I've checked the following:
IE ESC = Off for all users
IE settings set to as low as it gets
IIS seems to be fine.
Any ideas?

Here is what it looks like when you login normally
From one of your workstations
From one of your workstations access in browser http://<ip address of the server>:9090 (9090 is the web console port by default but it is customizable) and it will promt you to download and in stall java console in that m/c .Try to login from there through java console and see any difference is present..

You can disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration from within the Server Manager:
Open the Server Manager
Highlight Server Manager in the left-pane at the top
In the right-pane, under Security Information, click Configure IE ESC

Try to browse the Page using IE (http://servername:8014/reporting)
Use IIS Diag and check whether there are any issues.,
Hi All, First Comment on that
Hi All,
First Comment on that forum which I read since almost 2 years now.
Jst an update to say that I have exactly the same problem on a Windows Server 2k8 x64 (virtualize via HyperV) with MR5 English.
I already try all the solution above and none of them works.
While browse the page http://localhost:8014/reporting, I have php issue and I can't log in via this web console.
Hope we can find a solution.
Cheers
Ok, An update, I reinstall
Ok,
An update,
I reinstall integraly my server, and now, it's works. The only difference is that the first time, when I install the SQL 2005 client (I use an external DB), I saw a warning that I didn't check (an IIS warning I think). After the installation of SEP, my problem appears.
So, to correct that, I uninstall SQL 2005 client, and reinstall it and correct the warning with this KB : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920201/en-us.
Then I reinstall SEP using a disaster recovery kb : http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2007082112135948
Now everything works perfectly.
Hope this can help.
Bye
