One day I woke up and can't access, log on SEPM. Why?

I tried lots of things in this website and others. But SEPM is not a mature software and I can't log on. So I am stuck finally. I added files that can help to resolve problem.

    Windows 2008 R2

    4 cpu Xeon 2.5Ghz

    4Gb Ram

    70Gb hdd space

    No firewall open

    No network protection installed

    Attachment(s)

    sepm.zip   4.61 MB 1 version

is it the fresh install or upgrade ?

    is this standalone?

java.sql.SQLException: JZ0C0: Connection is already closed. is the error from the logs, can you open a support ticket?

    Hi BucaDH,

Run the upgrade.bat on the SEPM .
This batch file location is %Program Files%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin

    It is upgrade.

Standalone? I don't know what kind of software. I was able to configure the policies for clients before these problems. I use SEPM for active scan and report in a group. Also for configuring USB/CD-DVD devices.

No replication. I understand. Is it a solution to replicate?

I know so little information about SEP, SEPM. I started to this job 4 months ago.

I tried add/remove and SEPM logged in. But after backup, not.

I don't want to configure from the start, more than 250 pc....

    Try these steps:

    • Browse to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin\ and launch Upgrade.bat. Follow the on-screen prompts in the Upgrade Wizard Panel and once it has completed attempt to login to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and verify that the error is no longer received

    or

    • Run setup.exe again from the installation CD of the new Symantec Endpoint Protection build, and allow the manager and database to migrate.
Test the migration by opening the manager, once the installation completes

    or

    • Repair the SEPM installation in Add/Remove Programs and run the Management Server Configuration Wizard if it the repairing will not automatically run it.

    Hello,

When was the server machine restarted?

After checking the Logs, found that the machine requires a restart.

I would suggest you to Restart the server machine and try Logging to the same again.

Once the server machine is restarted, work on the steps provided below:

    Reference:

Unable to login to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager because the server is not synchronized with the database

    Hope that helps!!

I tried upgrade tool, but text not changed other than "initiliazing". Error continues.

I tried running setup.exe and setup installation finished successfully. But I can't log on.

I repaired SEPM from add/remove panel. But no change on errors.

I restarted server many times whenever I made any change...

There is a backup old and faulty. I removed completely, installed SEPM and restored backup. But error comes again. Can I clean errors from backup? How can I track errors? How can I restore only pc, policies and settings without errors?

    Hello,

As per the Logs, we found that the Server was not started as I highlighted in my comment. That could be one reason.

    Hope that helps!!
