  • 1.  SEPM: Problem with offline clients

    Hi all,

    I have really weird problem. I have two clients in SEPM, when i restart the Symantec endpoint protection on one of them the second goes to offline state (client version: client version unavailable) - the issue appears in both directions, I can't get both clients online.

    What was done:

    1. clients were reinstalled on both servers

    2. hardwareID was changed on both machines

    Machine 1: UniqueID: F1CD14EF0A280E0A01B24442B6448EB7, Hardware Key: 39698DCAB37EAC33F2F9CF1F390E05E0

    Machine 2: UniqueID: A7C0DE400A280E0A01B2444204552A4A, Hardware Key: 6A9FDC053B9F179C8694491AB9C6E24A

    Servers were created from the same template

    SEPM, clients version 12.1

    Is your sepm installed on Windows XP machine?

    open sepm

    clients

    policies

    communication settings, change the heartbeat to PUll mode 30mins interval, check if the green do is constant.

    I found the solution:

    Run the exe file, restart the server. It will create new account for the server.

    Changing HardwareID is not enought
