This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi.
I need some advice here :

We used to have SEPM installed on two different virtual servers with Server 2003 installed. The two SEPM handled servers and clients on two different locations.
By an unknown reason they both stopped working some few days ago.
I struggled trying to solve the problem without any luck, so I decided to reinstall both SEPM.
No I have both SEPM up and running, but the problem is that the client is allready installed on all of our servers and clients but they have no connection to th "new SEPM".
For testing purpose I uninstalled the client from one computer (using the uninstall tool) but if fail when I try to push the sw to the client again.
Is there a way to solve this or do I need to uninstall the client and reinstall ot on all our equipment ?

Hi in that case u can just

Hi in that case u can just replace the Sylink file of client with the server.

Follow the steps:

1. Copy the sylink from C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\agent\1XXXX2FCDCEC0A8XXX050A00555AFF5168CDCF
2. Stop the service of client by Start-->Run-->Type smc -stop
3.Paste the sylink file at C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection
4. Restart the sevices of sym client by Start-->Run-->Type smc -start
5.Varify that the client is connected to the present SEPM using...Double click the Symantec icon-->Click Help&Support-->Troubleshooting-->Check the name/IP of server.

This was the manuall procedure, u can use the sylink replacer tool to force the sylink to the clients from a central location.

It seemed like a great tool, but after it finished discovering an ip range  I get the message that no sep clients discovered.
