SEPM re-installation on Same Hardware

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello All,

I need best practice for  SEPM 12.1 RU2 re-installation on same hardware,hostname and ip address.

So that existings client should having re-communication issue.

Thanks Ashish,

As we are not going to restore the backup from existing av server.

I need information about client re-communication. is same hostname and ip address is enough to re-communicate to new server?

Yes,

if you are follow this artical all client will be communcate recommunicate your sepm server.

As i will be not using exsiting backup. do i need to use recovery file at the time of SEPM installation.

you can use the same name and IP  and without backup you should be using encryption password ( same) and domain ID while following the DR steps.

Just follow the disaster recovery procedures provided above and youi should be fine - you can import the recovery file so that the communications setting from the old sepm are preserved and it will allow clients to reconnect.
