SEPM Reporting does not show live notifications
Created: 18 Jun 2009 | Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments
Hi sorry if this has been ask before. Today i did some testing on a laptop simulating virus infection. The SEPM reporting manager although picks up the virus when u do a quick report, but at the "notifications" tab, nothing was shown, i try all kinds of combination of options in the advanced settings but still nothing is shown. By right, the "notifications" tab should show a "live" updates on the events that is set, in this case, is the virus monitoring. Has any body encounterd this problem before. Or any has the solution? Thanks for the help.

You should get some thing under the Notification > Advance tab > & select risk out break or single risk event. if you are not getting any thing over there
Then you can schedule a Notification to be sent on your E-mails address in case of risk outbreak for that you can follow this document

Are you using an Eicar file for testing notifications? If so check this KB.

Because Eicar is a test string, not a live threat, the SEPM excludes these notifications by default.
Cheers,
Thomas
