  • 1.  SEPM reporting replication

In our environment, we run 3 SEPM servers in 3 different geographic locations.  I had setup a weekly virus definitions report to be sent from each server, with the server name listed in the name of the report so i can tell which report was from which server.  The data is fairly similar because of SEPM replication, but I wanted an accurate picture at the time of the report because we only replicate SEPM date once a day.

The reports all run fine except that when replication runs, it always changes the names on the reports on all 3 servers to match.  So each report has the same server name in their title and it is difficult to tell which server generated which report.

Is there anyway to not have scheduled reports be replicated by the SEPMs?

If I'm understanding the issue correctly, the following should alleviate this.

From the Reports>Quick Reports page of the SEPM you will see an option for Filter Settings that lists the Time range of the report. If you click on the Advanced Settings option, you will see more defined criteria for the report.

I would recommend to define the Server option of the Advanced Settings to include the specific SEPM server that you want a report from, then save the filter. Perform this for each SEPM server. Once the filters are saved you can then create new scheduled reports for each SEPM that utilize the server filter to only include data from that particular SEPM server.

I think this should alleviate the confusion regarding which server the report came from, because you will only be shown data from each respective SEPM in the reports.

Thanks Kurt.  I'll give this a try and see if I get the results I'm looking for.

Thanks Kurt,  This gave me the results I was looking for and replication did not affect the individual reports.

    Thanks again.

Replication has once again changed my reports to match on all 3 servers.  All 3 reports have matching names and filters.  This brings me back to my initial questions.  Is there a way to not replication the reports?
