Hi everyone,
I have SEPM 12.1.1101.401 (RU1 MP1) in my environment. I have just downloaded SEP 12 RU2 client for Windows 8.
Question:
SEP client SEP 12 RU2 for Windows 8 will it communicate with my SEPM12 RU1?
Will it be an unmanaged client?
Do I need to replace the sylink file in order for it to communicate with SEPM?
Thank you

Hi,
SEP 12.1 RU2 Windows clients can be managed by any SEPM of version 12.1 or higher. SEP 12.1 RU2 Windows clients cannot be managed by SEPM 11.x.
Yes, just replace the sylink file as you would normally

SEP 12.1 RU2 will communicate to SEPM 12.1 RU1 without much issues. It will be then managed.
Regarding the sylink replacement - it is depending how you deploy the package to the client - if you push it from manager - the client should automatically connect to SEPM.
