  • 1.  SEPM RU2 backup then restore to SEPM RU3 or RU4, is it possible??

    Hi All,

     

    Is it possible to backup the SEPM RU2 for disaster recovery then restore it to SEPM RU3 or RU4?? Is it possible or not?

    This is not advised as the database schema changes from RU2 to RU3 to RU4 so you will likely break something. You will not get favorable results doing this.

    Best practice is do the backup and do DR procedure for the same version than upgrade if needed.

    Should be of same version or else when you try to restore it would say schema miss match

    nope, you install same SEPM version from which you have taken back up.

    Same version is required to update the same version for congiure the backup.

    No you can't be restore the sepm 12.1 ru2 in other version.

    No you can't you need to upgrade 12 RU2 to RU3 or RU4 depends on you.

    It not be possible, you can first recover the database in 12.1 RU2 and after that upgrade in 12.1 RU4a.

    Have you restore your database and upgrade the SEPM with 12.1 RU4a?
