SEPM SBE 12 Installation Failure.

Trying to install SEPM 12.1 on a SBS 2003 server. But i get "The Wizard was interrupted before Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager could be completely installed.
Your System has been modified. etc..."
Ive tried to find the install.log to find the issue but have been unable to locate it on the system I have also rebooted and tried the install again with no success.

Are you running the installer
Are you running the installer locally? Was there another security program installed on this server before?
Look for the SPC_INST.log, from start - run - %temp%\SEP_INST.log,
search for Return Value 3 and post the 10 lines above the return value 3.

Having SEP 11 installed on this system before may be the problem. Going to SEP 12.1 SBE from 11 is not a supported migration path. You may need to open a case with support and get the Cleanwipe tool to completely remove all traces of SEP 11 before installing SEP 12.1 SBE.

I have done two 12.1 installations previously with no hitch and the first was a migration as an experiment with no hassle.

Running a Cleanwipe on a Server is not recommended.
However, in your case, try these steps:
If the above steps does not work, then work on the Manual Uninstall Steps provided in the Article below:

and when you try to reinstall, make sure you run the setup.exe as an Administrator.
