SEPM server is not showing the exact client virus definition details.

SEPM server is not showing the exact client virus definition details. Clients are updated on ground locally, but not showing th latest update in my SEPM console. SEPM11 version and SEP11 client. Please help.

What's the exact version of the SEPM? same for clients?

Are they checking in?

Have you tried to repair Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) through add/remove programs?

Follow these steps

Clients cannot send data back to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

Kindly try this troubleshooting step: 

1. Browse to \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\agentinfo

2. Look for any .err files or tmp files & Dat files

3. If you find anything which is not processed by sepm then it might be the reason for the client data loss

4. Stop SEPM services from services.msc 

5. Delete all the files inside the location \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\inbox\agentinfo

6. Restart the SEPM services.

Check the SEPM now if still issue persist go for step 7

7. Run the Management server configuration wizard.

Restart the SEPM Services and run the update contents on all client groups one by one.

Does all clients are showing online on SEPM server ? have you checked the communication between client and SEPM ?

There was a cosmetic issue with Symantec Security Response Definitions update site which has been resolved now
