The actual problem is SEPM finding 2010 updates as older updates while comparing to 2009 updates.
So  new SEPM not having 2009 updates it is able to download and use 2010 updates.

what is the procedure to completely remove all of 2009 defition from semp
then when i run liveupdate it will automatically update with 2010 def
as i did with new fresh sepm install it get

any of the procedure to remove all older current all defintion from semp
and semp show no any of the definition so
when i run liveupdate i will comes with new defintion of 2010

currently there is no way to update 2010, if 2009 defiitions are running  on the SEPM. Only new updates overwrite the definition in the DB used by SEPM.

Currently there is no way to clear 2009 updates only since updates will sit in the database also.pls wait for the patch. For MR3 patch is released ,so we can expect for  others also in one or two days.

I don't think it is possible. The SEPM itself will remove the old updates depending up on the no. of revisions you set to keep.

Patch for RU5 SEPM is posted on LiveUpdate Servers

Symantec Endpoint Protection Engineering has confirmed that the patch that enables MR5 SEPM to download content dated 2010 has successfully posted to our LiveUpdate servers.  Please note: it will take a total of three LiveUpdate cycles to prepare the SEPM, download the patch, and begin using and distributing 2010 definitions.   If you have manually configured their SEPM not to download the patch via LU can apply the patch manually using a standalone tool.  For more information about the issue and the patch, please see the following KB document:

If your SEPM is MR5 then it should download the path with Liveupdate. So would suggest you to run Liveupdate on the SEPM server.
SEPM -Admin -Local Site - Download Liveupdate Content.
