  • 1.  SEPM upgrade to RU3 to RU4 MP1a

    Posted Aug 12, 2014 08:28 AM

    Hi ,

At last we are planning to upgrade the SEPM from 12.1 RU3 to RU4MP1a, before upgrading the server I have some questions.

Acutally we are configured the SQL 2012 database with windows user account , to this database only one user account has admin rights,if we login woth different account we are not able to open the SQL console, So now my question is

Now is it possible to change the SQL admin account (windows account) from one account to another, If yes, is there any impact in client (like reporting to SEPM server) or did we need to re configure the database.

I have full admin rights on SEPM server, but still I am not able to open the SQL console. I think we we need to change the database owner ship .

I have seen in our fourm, regarding the network issue in RU4 MP1 , is this issue fixed? if yes , is it possible to share the article related to that issue.

And second issue , folder issue I mean older version folders are not deleting while upgrading the client from older version to RU4 MP1. is this issue fixed.

Acctullay we are upgrading the Clients through SCCM package.

And please let me know is there any other know issue in RU4 MP1 version.

    thanks.

It was supposedly fixed in 12.1.4 but have seen complaints of it still happening..may want to test that first. Personally, I don't have the issue.

Are you able to get into the SEPM

Yes Brian,  I am able to login to SEPM.

Can we login in different adminstrator account for SEPM upgrade , as I said above for my ID don't have admin rights for SQL database, is there any issue if we upgrade in different account.

Currently we have installed firewall components installed in all the clients, but firewall policy was not enabled.

In new version if we installed firewall components and policy was disabled , network issue will occur,
