  • 1.  SEPM was uninstalled, how to reinstall with an existing database?

    Hey guys,

     

    we're in big mess right now, we accidentally unisntall the SEPM that is connected to an SQL Server 2008.

    How can we reinstall the SEPM and still be able to connect to the databse? at this time there's no SEPM connected to the database but the data is still intact . We really need a help right now.

    Do you have backup of the SEPM recovery file? If yes this should be easy - just following the disaster recovery procedure: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH160736

    Hi,

    Please follow Kb article TECH160736, Best Practices for Disaster Recovery with the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

    And Follow disaster recovery method in your case.

    Unfortunately I don't have any backup. Is there any other way?

    Hello,

    What version of SEPM were you running?

    Do you have the SEPM setup files of the same version which was uninstalled?

    Since there is no Backup, however you are using a SQL 2008, you may like to work on the steps provided in the Article below:
