Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

Hi Team,

Iam trying to access the webconsole on one of my windows 7 machine ,iam able to login successfully no issues, but when accessing each TAB in the SEPM iam getting an loading screen in the middle of the page.This happens to all the TABS. This issue has occured in both IE and chrome .Please refer the screen shot below .

Given Below is the information gathered from my pc.

SEPM version: 12.1RU5

Version of java: Version 8, Update 25

IE Enhanced Security status: Off

UAC status: Disabled

User account type: Admin

IE browser Version: 11 (Happens with chrome as well)

NOTE: Issue is not with the browser certificate. The same issues occurs when I tried to login from the SEPM server itself. Even when accessed in multiple machines getting the same issue . Even tried clicking on the cross symbol to close but no luck.

Any suggestions or advise is highly appreciated.

Does it go away or remain?

It still remains in the middle of the page ,but we are able to access SEPM without any issues,Iam actually from Symantec MSS team and have been with SEP for the past two years and have never come acrossed this in the earlier versions.I have also ran a SEPM repair just in case but still no luck.

So only for web app? Does it happen with remote console?

remove all the version of Java,

reboot

http://SEPMservername:9090

load the console, check again...

@brian,happens only with web cosole...

@Rafeeq i have uninstalled java and already rebooted the machine and reinstalled java still the same issue...

what if you use http instead of Https:// for the webconsole.

Only using https we will be able to login to the web console,using http we will not be able to access however tried using http:// ,still no luck.

This happens to me too. What I normally do is..

Once i login.. If i see the loading screen.. I will just log off the console..

Then click on restart, the loading bar goes away..

Not sure, just give it a try

Click Start> Run. 
In the Run dialog box, type regedit 
Press Enter. 
Locate the following registry key: 
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\semsrv\Parameters\

Locate the following keys: 
JVM Option Number 0 
JVM Option Number 1

Adjust the key values upward, and for optimal performance, match the key values.
For example, to create a 1 GB static heap, set: "JVM Option Number 0" to "-Xms512m", and set "JVM Option Number 1" to "-Xmx1024m". 
Close Regedit. 
Click Start> Settings> Control Panel> Administrative Tools 
In the Services dialog box, right-click Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, and then click Restart.

if you open taskbar, what application /process is running the "loading pop up" , ( Javaw.exe) ?

But that is not the scenario,even after logging of the webconsole and reaccessing again the loading screen will remain,iam able to access the SEPM without issues but the loading screen always shows up,even if you click on the cross symbol it will not get closed.

no harm in following that document, it just increases the heap, we can always revert back.

if you open task manager and select application, what process is running the "loading pop up" , ( Javaw.exe) ?

have you check any different machine ?

Try to check another IE version (Like IE 9,10)
