  • 1.  Server 2012 Freezing on Logout or Shutdown

    Hi,

    I have noticed an issue where our Windows Server 2012 R2 are freezing when a user logs in or logs out.

    The error message says: "Please wait for System Event Notification Service" and it gets stuck there forever.

    I found this link which was applicable to SEPM version 12.1.2 https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/please-wait-system-event-notification-service

    However, I am running SEPM version 12.1 RU5 build 5337 (12.1.5337.5000) and the clients are running either SEPM 12.1.5337.5000 or 12.1.411.4156

    Please advise.

    What components are in use? AV only? All 3 components?

    What happens if you disable SEP (as a test)?
