  • 1.  Server and Client transfer speed different

Why when Ghostcasting (Ghost 8 corporate) does my client machine show 200MB\min (for example) and the server only show about 7MB\min (this is the true speed as it is taking hours to image a machine).

Ouch! That speed has to be painful. I have seen the speed difference you speak of but not that severe. When I multicast to one or more machines, none of the clients or the server show the same speed. They all get finished at the same time but the speeds all show different. My speeds are in the range of 400MB to 600+MB however. My imaging is in a lab environment with everyone on the same switch, you may be across the network.

The speed shown on the server (GhostCast Server) is the actual speed at which data (image) is transferred across the network.
This can be different to Ghost's displayed speed if the image is compressed since more than 1Mb of data is compressed into an 1Mb of actual data transferred across the network.

However, your difference of 7Mb\min and 200Mb\min seems quite extreme.
