I have installed SEP 12.1 RU 6 MP3 to a Window Server 2012 R2 Server Core.  When I open the Troubleshooting window, under definitions, there is no listing for Virus & Spyware.  Is there a way to identify the installed version of the definitions on a Server Core installation?

It should show right on the main screen, does it not?

Used same installation package used for GUI server installs.

looks like you just installed the SEP core files that's why the definitions are not reflecting  under the troubleshooting window.

from your programs and feature do a modify install and the features that you want and reboot if required. then you will be able to see the definitions. please be reminded your server currently running without any sort of protection.

If you've used the same package for other servers, do they show anything on the GUI?

Praveen, core files as well as Antivirus are listed as installed when I go in to modify the existing install.  I have done a cleanwipe then manual install and selected those options, with no change in results.

Brian, on the other servers, using the same package, as long as they are GUI, AV shows up.  It does not on any of the core servers.

I have contacted support once, but they were not able to resolve the issue.  I have gone back to trying to fix this again.  I will open up another ticket with support.
