Alright, I'll try to keep this clear and to the point.

If I run a server deployment job on a system already part of the Altiris computer list, it never starts its jobs, it'll restart the system a few times trying to get it to PXE mode, but nothing, no luck. It will just boot to it's existing operating system.

If I remove the computer from the Altiris list, manually tell the system to boot to PXE, have it receive the linux boot image from altiris, get added to the Altiris list, be assigned the same deployment job, then it will at at least retry to connect to the MTFTP enough times to get a connection.

In 'PXE config util', I've removed WinPE x64, the default boot option is WinPE Managed, boot option for unknown computer is Linux Managed (auto-select), multicast is enabled.

Is there any other settings I should be looking into / posting here to best facilitate any help on the issue?

    Thank you,

    -Aaron

Did you check your boot order? In order for the machine to "automatically" go to PXE, the boot order needs to have the NIC set higher than the HDD.

Yes, of that part I am most certain, it goes through the pxe boot process (and failing a lot) before giving up and trying to continue with an unfinished altiris job or the installed OS.

Just discovered something, when I try to use iLo to have the device do a one time boot to PXE, the menu option it's given is :

    Next Device (BIOS/EFI)
    WinPE
    Linux Managed

Which is the same order as listed in the PXE Configuration Utility,
Should I change the order to have WinPE first?

I'm just uncertain as it's sometimes difficult to track down what these commands and consoles and .exe files do. I dont want my systems to always boot to PXE, just the ability to do it reliably when I tell them too.
