  • 1.  Server error Altiris SMP 7.1- URL not found related to Connector

    anybody get these? This is occuring at Settings-NotificaitonServer-Data Sources- Connector-Import/Export Rules

    when I click on any of these I get URL not found. I believe these are the old school Data Connector Solution Web Parts

    Mine is at Settings > All Settings, then expand Settings > Notification Server > Connector > Data Sources.

    Do you really have the path described in your above post?  If so, or because of the error, you may want to run a repair on the SMP and on Connector Solution.

    Data sources is right above Import/export rules

     

    also SMP 7.1 does not have data connector as a seperate item to repair

    waiting on support to all me back grr

    in IIS. It's possible the virtual directory has been corrupted or is not configured properly. Saw this frequently in 2003\IIS6, not so much in 2008\IIS7.

    fixed it ticket 415-072-737

    IIS path was wrong - actually the connector was missing from the IIS list completely -thought from tech is that this was caused by the 7.1 sp1a update. that is my thought as well

    IIS was looking for /Alitris/Connector/DataSource/Oledbddatasource.aspx

     

    what is in explorer is /Alitris/DataConnector/DataSource/Oledbddatasource.aspx

     

    so created a rename

    IIS/<servername>/sites/default web site/altiris/ right click -add application

     

    Alias

    connector

    Physical Path - browse to c:\program files\altiris\DataConnector\web

     

    test settings--- I had a failure here on authentication and had to do connect as my altiris admin account

    I have been getting a lot of those security boxes with Windows 2008 r2 server for some reason

    OK/OK/OK

    iis restart

    and now I have data connector back in all its glory
