The server port you chose is not used by the database server.
Installed SEP 11.0 about six moths ago on Win Server 03. Two weeks ago i ran an NTbackup.exe for the first time and now i cannot get into SEP database. Tried to restart service, would not start. Changed port number and then went back to start service, still would not work. I read somewhere deep on the web that microsoft ntbackup.exe listens on the same port that SEPM listens on. Possible conflict. Any suggestions on get SEPM up and started again without reinstall. Thanks.
