Server Status: client is offline
A backup runs from Netbackup Scheduler started with no problems, but who a user resp. SAP wants to make a backup, it fails with the error message client is offline.

Please show us all text in Job Details for failed job?
Do you have any logs enabled on the client? I would like to see backint log.
Please post log as attachment.

I have seen this kind of issues becasue of name resolutions; As marianne said post us backint logs and saperr logs; you could find them under /usr/openv/netbakup/logs/

Sorry that I answer so late.
We found the error. The server had an alias. This was was still registered in the master server. Delete the alias and the backup was running again.
Why configure the alias was no clue.
