    HI ,

    We are going to upgrade the server form 2003 to 2008 but issue is that symantec client is installed on 2003 server so please suggest me.

    Can we upgrade the server without client uninstallation .

    21.1.3 is installed on window server which we are going to upgrade from 2003 to 2008

    For OS upgrades you need to remove the client, do the OS upgrade, re-install the client.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Symantec community.

    For Windows operating systems, you must uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection before you upgrade the operating system. This applies to all operating systems and all versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection (client and management server), with one exception i.e. upgrade to the Windows 10. Otherwise, Symantec Endpoint Protection does not support in-place migration due to potential issues which may arise during the upgrade.
