Are there any specific issues using Service Desk 7.1 SP2 with chrome? Any gotcha's I need to look out for?

    Thanks!

I use Google Chrome as my primary browser with ServiceDesk 7.1 SP2.  Works great, no real issues.  The only thing that might be an issue depending on your needs is that pass through authentication doesn't work with Chrome.  Not a big deal for technicians, since you can just check the box to have it remember you after the first time you log in, but it might be an issue if you want end users to use Chrome.

We use Chrome for SD7.0 MR5 and it's way better than IE for us.  We've seen vast improvements especially in the report area and rendering reports.  Seems that Chrome/Firefox just tend to handle the java better than IE.  Now, some of our folks are working in IE9 and it's not as bad as earlier versions of IE for running reports, but still not equal to Chrome.  Joshua is correct as well, the pass through will not work but checking the save password box works for ya.

I'm fairly sure that I'm missing something obvious, but I checking the pssword box does not seem to work for me.  Every time I open SD in Chrome it makes me re-enter my login ID and password.  We are using AD authentication (and auto login works with IE).

What behaviour should I be expecting to see if I've logged in and checked the remember me box?

Thanks for your replies so far!

Tried it on the latest Chrome and SD 7.1 SP2 Rollup. 'Remember for Autologin' checkbox doesn't seem to work. Chrome's own password saving system works though.

    Edit:
On the other hand, I'm not sure what the checkbox is supposed to do. It doesn't seem to do anything on any other browser I tried either (Safari, Firefox, IE).

I've been using Safari for Windows for ServiceDesk portal, based on the same WebKit that Chrome is using. Haven't seen real issues besides some layout problems and the known lack of pass-through authentication.

    Chrome works well for me.

The main problem is that the SMP doesn't support Chrome so we are constantly bouncing back and forth between browsers.  It also makes further integreation of the "2 products" less valuable...
