Service Desk 7.5 integration with Asset Management 7.1 SP2

Hi

 

Is it possible to integrate Service Desk 7.5 to an exisiting Asset Managment Suite (with Barcode Solution) 7.1 SP2?

Appreciate if you can share ideas and recommendation.

I don't know if its possible. I have mine set to use the CMDB but it isn't pulling any asset information like SD 7.1 did. We might have to wait untill fall for 7.5 across the board. I will keep plugging at it if time allows to see if there is a way to tweak it to work.

Your SD 7.5 should correctly pull in assets from the 7.1 CMDB.  If it is not, there might be an issue with the setup or configuration.  

 

Atong, besides adding Assets to tickets, can you provide an example or use case you are looking for in terms of an integration between SD and Asset?

I was just about to come back and modify my response. Looking at the Implementation Guide again it says that it should work. I will have to go back through and see why mine might not be working as well. I've had a few test installs with no luck...shouldn't have jumped to conclusions though!

Just for reference, I have done a few implementations with this setup and had no issues using the asset data..
