My SD 7.1 is configured to hide most reports.

But, anyone that logs on and goes to the Reports page can see what appears to be every report listed under Orphan reports.

Plus they have the ability to modify most of the reports.

I am unable to find Orphan reports to hide it, remove it, or change permissions on it.

Orphan Reports is automatically shown when there are reports that do not belong to any categories. It's Workflow core reporting functionality, so it is not really an actual report category you could interact with.

The user you are seeing this with has permissions to these reports themselves, but not to the report categories, right?

If you don't want user to access any reports in reporting menu, why not just remove the access to menuitem - Reports.ShowInMenu permission.

All of my reports have categories, and all of the reports are showing under Orphan Reports.

I can use the Reports.ShowInMenu to disallow access, but then my techs would not have access to the some of the reports they need.

If you have access to a report ('Can View' permission), you will see it in Reports. If you deny access ('Can View' permission) to the category report is in, the report will be shown in 'Orphan reports'.

That does not make sense to me.

I will try doing permissions in a different way to get what I want.

Thanks for your time, and I will let you know how I make it work.
