Service desk users

Hi All,

I have a database of users who are external to the organisation of which contact us and ask for support. To allow us to support them better we want to use SD7 however I need to get these users in to ServerDesk

I cannot see a simple way of doing this, I remember in service desk 6 the users within NS would populate in to the helpdesk therefore importing these users was dead easy with CMDB, now however it being a new tool I can’t see where I can achieve this.
I’m thinking I may have to edit SD7, if someone knows of a different way of doing this then that would be fantastic, however if I need to create a workflow to do this I will post the workflow ;)

You might be able to add them

You might be able to add them directly into the SD7 Database. However keep in mind that the user information is stored in several tables. See if you just add the mandantory information into the database and then allow those user to update their account information which is enabled by default.

The standard way to import

The standard way to import users into ServiceDesk 7.0 is to do the Active Directory import.  If you have users in a database, other than Active Directory, you can also use the Altiris Connector Solution.  I've been thinking about creating a workflow to import NS 7 users into SD7.  Are your users in an NS database or a third party database? Let me know what you end up doing.

Notes/Domino

I have a customer with Lotus Notes/Domino and the majority of the contact information is held in this. We need to import users from AD and import from Lotus matching contact inforamtion as we do so.... This was easy with 6 but with SD 7 I'm not sure this is possible?
