Endpoint Protection

  • 1.  Service "Symantec Endpoint Protection" was not created

    Hello,
     
    after deploying sep 11.0.6 form the endpoint protection console to different machines we expected on 4 SAP machines the same error.
    Just after I restarted the machines I saw that the Service “Symantec Endpoint Protection” (rtvscan) was not created.
     
    So I don’t know, what is the best way to resolve the problem. Can I simply create the Service with “sc” or should I reinstall sep11, or….???
    With which proceduredid solve such errors…

    No, try to run a repair for SEP and see if that helps

    Also please paste the SEP_inst.log ( Go to run and  type %temp%)

    do a repair from add or remove programs and check
    if these machines have SAP Logon gui installed, rename this registry key to setup1.exe
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellCompatibility\Applications\setup.exe
    install the isntalation is complete , rename this key as setup.exe
