ServiceDesk 7.0- DMZ

We're thinking about making the ServiceDesk available to our users from outside our network. Has anyone tried this? Will it work with SSL? Are there any "gotchas" or special tweeks to make this happen?
I would like to here about this also
This seem to be something that a bunch of people would want to know about
