ServiceDesk 7.1 Licenses won't apply over trial licenses

We encountered an issue with an MS hotfix because our licenses were not 1024 bit. We requested new licenses and the core one applied OK, but the technician one does not. Everything seems fine in SIM when applying it. It confirms that it will apply a 25 user count license over the existing trial one, but no change occurs after application. Restarting the service or letting it happen naturally makes no difference.

Has anyone encountered this? We are stuck with a  5 user limit and it is causing our help desk issues.

I was told to remove the old licenses, but am getting an error stating the sertificate chain is invalid when running RemoveLicense.exe.

You should be able to delete the old licenses manually without needing the RemoveLicense.exe tool. Check out the article here:
