Hi,
Editing a servicedesk workflow with designer installed on ServiceDesk Server, I got this error

Is there anything being recorded in the logs? They're located at <install>/Logs.
Just curious, where on the system did you install Designer? Was it the default, or was it another partition?
When does the error show up? Does it appear when you try to open a project or when you launch Designer? Are you able to do a File - Open Project... and browse to the project so that it opens?

I installed servicedesk without designer, but I solved the issue reinstalling all components again.
