    Hey guys,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have installed SEPM on a windows server 2008 64 bit machine. After installation i get an error message and its "sesmcontinst.exe"  which crashes and produces the crash error.

This is what i see in the event logs.

    Hi,

Sesmconinst installs content, some how it got corrupted i guess

try doing a repair, we would check if that works, most of the times it works

and also check if Liveupdate is running,

    hope this helps

That application is used for importing virus definitions. Is there another Symantec product on this server?
When did the issue first appear? Have you tried running the support tool?

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2008071709480648

Run the tool and PM me once you have the data collected. I will provide a fileshare for you to upload the file.

I think Rafeeq's comment helped you resolve your issue ..hence marking his comment as solution.
