Workflow Soluiton

I'm trying to use the "Set Process Name/Description" component to change the name of a process but it does not seem to work.  The process itself shows up fine in Process Manager but it never changes its name/title from the original name I gave it when I create it.

Is there a trick to using this component? I'm using Workflow 7.6

i'm not sure i've used that one before, but it does require a SessionId (execution context ID) if you want to save to another process after the fact.  are you saving to another process or making the change within the same workflow that creates the process?

Its the same workflow that creates the process.

I was able to make this work in 7.6 by setting all workflow data saving types to Sync.  This includes the Setup Process component as well as the Set Process Title component, as well as the Data Saving Mode dropdown on the Reporting tab at the project's top level.  Does that work for you?

Unfortunately no - that does not seem to work but I suspect you're on the right track.  I tried setting those two components to Sync and also tried reseting them to Project and setting the project to Sync but neither seemed to work.

The project is a "Web Application" type if that matters?

Andrew was quite right - this does work on Async data saving for regular workflow projects.

It does not work on "Web Application" projects - nothing I did could get these to change their title or description.

I ended up porting all my components over to a regular workflow project and its all working well.  thanks africo!
